Alternative Distribution Alliance Names Mitchell Wolk, Executive Vice President

NEW YORK, May 15, 2006-Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), the No. 1 distributor of independent music in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Mitchell Wolk as Executive Vice President. Wolk will be based in New York City. He reports to ADA's President, Andy Allen.
At ADA, Wolk will oversee day-to-day managerial, financial, business development and administrative operations of the company and will continue to grow its leading roster of independent labels.
In making the announcement, Andy Allen said, "As ADA continues to expand in order to meet the needs of the dynamic independent music sector, we recognized that our operations would be greatly enhanced with the addition of an executive of Mitch's caliber. Having worked with many leading independent labels for more than a decade, Mitch is ideally suited to become an integral member of the ADA team and to help write the company's next chapter."
Wolk joined Warner Music Group's WEA Corp. in 2005, working at the company's Independent Label Group (ILG) which is composed of Asylum Records, East West Records and Cordless Recordings.
Prior to that, Wolk held a series of senior management positions at RED Distribution, the independent music distribution division of SonyBMG Music Entertainment, including the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration. He joined RED in 1991. During his tenure at RED, gross sales at the labels he oversaw tripled.
Wolk is a certified public accountant and earned a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
