Legendary Producer Tim Palmer Gets Behind The Board For Unique In-Concert Collection; "Tonight, Not Again..." Due August 24th

Fans of Elektra/Atlantic recording artist Jason Mraz will be able to bring the unadulterated experience of one of his legendary live concerts into their homes with the upcoming release of the eagerly anticipated two-disc CD/DVD collection, "Tonight, Not Again: Jason Mraz Live At The Eagles Ballroom." The set arrives in stores on August 24th.

Recorded and filmed last October in Milwaukee, "Tonight, Not Again..." was mixed by renowned producer/engineer Tim Palmer, famed for his work with U2, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Robert Plant, and countless others. "Jason has an amazing, natural voice," said Palmer, "and we didn't add a single overdub to the original concert recording. So this is a true live album."

An indefatigable live performer, Mraz recently wrapped up his "Tour of the Curbside Prophets," a coast-to-coast journey which drew praise for his inimitable musical gifts and effervescent charm. The Los Angeles Times' Steve Hochman raved about Mraz's gig at L.A.'s Walt Disney Concert Hall- the first-ever pop event held at the acclaimed Frank Gehry-designed venue-noting that following up his smash Elektra debut, "Waiting For My Rocket To Come," with a live recording is "an unconventional move," but noting that "anyone who saw the San Diego-based singer-songwriter at Walt Disney Concert Hall understands why...live (Mraz) is Mr. Personality." The review goes on to applaud his "high, pure voice," hailing his "ease, natural wit, and in-the-momentness."

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Travis Hay, who reviewed Mraz's recent gig at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, commented, "Mraz's musicianship, mixed with his boyish charm and charisma, made for a great show. He set up most every song with a humorous tale with a delivery better than most stand-up comedians. This made his set equal parts VH1's 'Storytellers' and 'Showtime at the Apollo.'"

Mraz will return to the road later this summer for a series of dates alongside Dave Matthews Band, including a three-night stand at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington on Labor Day Weekend.

"Tonight, Not Again..." sees the charismatic Mraz joined by his always imaginative band, the Take It Easy Buddies, along with some very special guests, including Blues Traveler's John Popper and the world-famous Chicago Storm/Ohio Players Horns. The DVD captures the full concert on film-directed by Nigel Dick (Guns N' Roses, R.E.M., Oasis)-as well as an array of bonus footage, such as exclusive behind-the-scenes segments filmed during Mraz's tours of the U.S., Europe, and Japan. The set features five previously unreleased songs, four penned by Mraz plus a never-before-heard solo acoustic rendition of Elton John's classic "Rocket Man."
