John Reid Named Executive Vice President Marketing Warner Music International

Company Reorganises Marketing Structure

Paul-Rene Albertini, Chairman and CEO, Warner Music International, (WMI) today announced the reorganisation of the company's marketing structure and the appointment of John Reid as Executive Vice President of Marketing, reporting directly to Albertini. In response to a changing marketplace, WMI has established a new structure to expand international and domestic repertoire capabilities across the world, and to maximise speed in breaking new artists globally.

Effective immediately, the WMI Marketing department and Warner Music UK International Marketing department will be combined, creating a powerful team, led by Reid, that will be a strong influencer for selling repertoire across the world. Reid will be based in London, and oversee all marketing and promotions functions for the company's record labels.

"John Reid has a proven track record in developing global, blockbuster artists such as Madonna, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and R.E.M. This new combined marketing function capitalises on Reid's incredible success and provides a powerful proposition for selling International repertoire worldwide and US repertoire Internationally," said Paul-Rene Albertni, Chairman and CEO WMI.

Prior to joining Warner Music, Reid was the President of Island Def Jam Records in the US and Chairman and CEO of Polygram Group Canada.

Nick Phillips, Chairman of Warner Music UK, will assume all interim responsibilities for WEA London Records.
