Kid Rhino And Barbie(TM) Team-Up For Barbie(TM) Hit Mix Album With Kid-Friendly Versions Of Chart-Topping Singles
Barbie(TM) Hit Mix Album Avaiable In Stores April 6
Today Kid Rhino and Mattel are partnering for the release of BARBI(TM) HIT MIX, a fun-filled CD featuring kid-friendly soundalike renditions of today's hottest tracks.
An album sung by kids for kids, BARBIE(TM) HIT MIX bounces with big singalong versions of Outkast's "Hey Ya," Hilary Duff's "Come Clean," Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time," Jessica Simpson's "With You," Michelle Branch's "Breathe," Christina Aguilera's "The Voice Within," and many more, all performed at a pace that's fun and easy to follow.
"We're thrilled to team with Mattel on this exciting project," says Andrea Kinloch, Rhino Entertainment's VP of Strategic Marketing. "It's an opportunity for Rhino's family division to collaborate with the No. 1 girls' entertainment brand and create a hit-filled soundtrack for Barbie(TM), an American classic."
"We are delighted about the opportunity we have with Rhino," said Mary Rafferty, Sr. Director, Mattel Inc. "Music is a new category for Barbie Consumer Products, and we couldn't ask for a better partner. We look forward to success with Barbie(TM) Hit Mix."
At a time when kids' sing-along albums continue to dominate the Billboard Children's top audio charts (selling more than 1.5 million copies per year) the release of BARBIE(TM) HIT MIX is perfectly timed, combining the brand power of the best-selling fashion doll (more than 1 billion sold) with a wide variety of newly recorded soundalike versions of current chart-toppers.
BARBIE(TM) HIT MIX will receive significant branding and promotional value elements across all media: national television and radio advertising. BARBIE(TM) HIT MIX will be available April 6 at all retail outlets and at www.kidrhino.com [ http://www.kidrhino.com/ ] for a suggested retail price of $18.98 for the CD and $12.98 for the cassette.
