Warner Music Group and Motorola Strike Groundbreaking Mobile Partnership

Companies to Collaborate on Digital Products and Marketing Campaigns in the Promotion of Devices and Artists

“MOTO Experience Pack” Among First Products to Be Launched Through New Partnership

Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), and Warner Music Group Corp. (NYSE: WMG) today announced a global strategic partnership to create new music-based products and experiences for the mobile platform. This groundbreaking agreement marks the first time a music company and handset manufacturer have established a broad-ranging global agreement for collaboration on the development of digital products, marketing campaigns and strategic planning across multiple devices and featuring a variety of artists.

By aligning with music powerhouse WMG, Motorola can offer consumers exclusive content, including premium products such as pre-loaded and over-the-air delivered full-length songs, ringtones, ringback tones, mobile music videos, wallpapers and more. This agreement, in part, lays the foundation for an ongoing collaboration to match Motorola's global handset marketing initiatives with WMG's artist promotions. Motorola and WMG will work closely with wireless carriers in the development of these new music-based products in an effort to provide consumers with a seamlessly integrated mobile music experience.

“Establishing a global partnership with Warner Music Group opens the door for exciting entertainment opportunities for Motorola consumers,” said Scott Durchslag, corporate vice-president of Product and Xperience Invention, Motorola Mobile Devices. “Exclusive access to content from Warner's world-renowned roster of artists enables our mobile phone consumers to further enrich and personalize their mobile multimedia experiences. We think this venture has potential to serve as a successful template for building relationships with other music and entertainment entities around the world.”

“Motorola is a clear leader in the development of mobile devices and has an excellent track record for working closely with wireless carriers to continually improve the consumer's music experience on the handset,” said Alex Zubillaga, executive vice president, Digital Strategy and Business Development, WMG. “Through our direct relationships with wireless carriers, Warner Music Group already reaches more than 1.4 billion consumers. This partnership represents the next phase of our mobile strategy as we focus on collaborating with manufacturers such as Motorola to complement and enhance our carrier distribution footprint by creating first-rate music experiences on the handset through improved music-driven user interfaces, new music-based products and innovative artist promotions.”

One of the first mobile products expected to be offered as part of this agreement is the MOTO Experience Pack. The MOTO Experience Pack is a single file downloaded to the mobile device that contains several-music based products creating a feature-rich multimedia artist experience on the handset. MOTO Experience Packs will be available in the second half of 2007.
