Lachie Rutherford To Head Warner Music Japan
New Role Broadens Asia Pacific President's Duties
Paul-Rene Albertini, Chairman and CEO of Warner Music International, today announced that Lachie Rutherford, President Warner Music Asia Pacific, will become Chairman and CEO of Warner Music Japan in addition to his existing duties.
In a parallel move, Hiroshi Inagaki, will retire from his role as Chairman and CEO of Warner Music Japan effective 1st March. All department heads in WM Japan will now report directly to Rutherford.
Rutherford commented, "All of us at Warner Music Japan are deeply appreciate of Hiroshi Inagaki's contribution to WMJ's performance over the past 6 years and we take this opportunity to wish him well in his future endeavors."
Albertini commented, "Warner Music International thanks Hiroshi Inagaki for his commitment to Warner Music Japan. I am confident that under Lachie Rutherford's great leadership, Warner Music Japan will rise to the challenges and considerable opportunities in the Japanese market place."
