The Corrs Celebrate The Season With New Album, Tour

"Borrowed Heaven" Debuts At #1 In Ireland

U.S. Release Tomorrow; Stateside Shows Set For August

"Today" Show Concert Performance On July 23rd

Atlantic recording group The Corrs have returned to the global music scene in grand style with the release of their eagerly awaited new album, "Borrowed Heaven." With its U.S. release set for tomorrow, June 8th, the collection has already debuted at #1 in the band's native Ireland, #2 in the UK, top five in Australia, Holland, and Japan, and is on track for more top-charting premieres this week. "Borrowed Heaven" is the quartet's fourth studio album, and their first since 2000's RIAA platinum-certified "In Blue."

The Corrs are celebrating the album's release with a world tour, including a full-scale headlining trek across North America. Tickets are already getting scarce for their long-awaited U.S. shows, which kick off August 6th at Woodinville, WA's historic Chateau Ste. Michelle winery.

The Corrs will herald their U.S. arrival with a special live outdoor performance on NBC-TV's "Toyota Concert Series on Today," slated for Friday morning, July 23rd at New York City's Rockefeller Plaza.

The band is currently getting ready to embark on a string of European concert dates, including a pair of massive homecoming shows at Dublin's the Point on June 28th and 29th. On July 11th, they will perform to an expected crowd of over 100,000 in London's Hyde Park as part of the annual Party In The Park benefit concert for the Prince's Trust.

"Summer Sunshine," the first single from "Borrowed Heaven," has just hit radio outlets nationwide and is being hailed as the perfect summer smash. The infectiously upbeat track ranks as the #2 "New&Active" single on R&R's AC chart, and has just debuted on the Hot AC chart at #35 with-a-bullet. "Summer Sunshine" is simultaneously shaping up as one of The Corrs' biggest-ever international hits.

The Corrs-Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim-may have sold 30 million records around the globe, but "Borrowed Heaven" is the sound of a band pushing and striving to top past achievements. A breathtakingly diverse and lyrically sophisticated collection, the album reflects the Corrs' remarkable growth as musicians and songwriters, as well as a new-found maturity after the extraordinary roller-coaster ride that has made them one of the most successful acts in the world.

Produced by Olle Romo-known for his work with such artists as Shania Twain, Eurythmics, and Bryan Adams-"Borrowed Heaven" sees songwriting contributions from all four members of the group. Also among the album's highlights is "Time Enough For Tears," composed by Bono, Gavin Friday, and Maurice Seezer for last year's acclaimed Jim Sheridan film, In America. With "Borowed Heaven," the Corrs have delivered their finest artistic statement to date.
