"South Park" Creators Release Second Full-Length Flick
Atlantic Records has announced the forthcoming release of "TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE-ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK," the musical companion album to the upcoming Paramount Pictures film. The collection is set to be released exclusively online on October 19th, just four days after the movie hits over 2,000 theaters nationwide, and arrive in stores on November 2nd.
"Team America: World Police" is the second full-length feature film from the creators of Comedy Central's hit animated series, "South Park." It follows 1999's "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut," whose companion soundtrack album, featuring the Academy Award-nominated song "Blame Canada," was also released by Atlantic. The "Team America: World Police" album features such songs from the film as "Freedom Isn't Free," "Montage," and the patriotic "America, F**k Yeah."
"Team America: World Police" is an action adventure starring an all-marionette cast. Team America, an international police force dedicated to maintaining global stability, learns that a power hungry dictator is brokering weapons of mass destruction to terrorists. The heroes embark upon a harrowing mission to save the world. To infiltrate the terrorist network, Team America recruits Gary Johnston, a rising star on Broadway, to go undercover. Although initially reluctant to sacrifice his promising career, Gary realizes that his acting gift is needed for a higher cause.
