Maria Rita Earned A Total Of 6 Nominations Including Record Of The Year And Album Of The Year

Alejandro Sanz Got The Nod In 5 Categories Including Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year And Song Of The Year

Also Among The Nominees Luis Miguel, La Ley, Cafe Quijano, El Tri, Tito Nieves and "Alegrijes Y Rebujos"

Warner Music Latina congratulates all their artists nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards. The list of nominees was announced today in a ceremony in Los Angeles, California.

Warner Music Latina earned a total of 21 Nominations, Lead by pop Brazilian artist Maria Rita who got the nod in 6 categories for her album "Maria Rita" including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best MPB Album, Best Brazilian Song for "A Festa", Best Engineered Album and Best New Artist.

Multi Latin Grammy winning artist Alejandro Sanz earned 5 nominations for his record "No Es Lo Mismo" including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Engineered Album.

Chilean band La Ley earned two nominations for "Libertad" in the Best Rock Album Vocal Duo or Group Category and Best Rock Song for "Mi Ley".

Luis Miguel got nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Album for "33", while Spanish rock band Cafe Quijano and Mexican band, El Tri were designated among the list competing for Best Rock Album by a Duo or Group with Vocal for "¡Que Grande Es Esto Del Amor!" and "Alex Lora-35 Anos Y Lo Que Falta Todavía..." respectively.

Tito Nieves also made the cut in the Tropical List for Best Salsa Album for "Tito Nieves Canta Con El Conjunto Clasico 25 Aniversario Recuerdos".

Tom Capone, who besides being a brilliant producer is also A&R director for Warner Music Brazil, was included in the list competing for Producer Of The Year, as well as the nominations he shares with Maria Rita for her Namesake Production.

Brazilians O Rappa, Frejat and Nana, Dori e Danilo each earned a nomination. Alegrijes Y Rebujos from Mexico, completes the list with their nomination as Best Latin Children's Album for "Disco Alegrije".
