Warner Music Group Names Dan Pelson, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Marketing

Founder and CEO of uPlayMe, Inc. and Former CEO of Bolt, Inc. Will Develop and Shape Company's Worldwide Consumer Marketing Strategy

NEW YORK, NY, Nov 02, 2006 -- Warner Music Group Corp. (NYSE: WMG) announced today the appointment of Dan Pelson as Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Marketing. Pelson reports to Alex Zubillaga, Executive Vice President, Digital Strategy and Business Development for WMG, and will be based in New York City.

Working in close consultation with WMG's recorded music and music publishing divisions, Pelson will oversee the enhancement of the company's overall consumer marketing strategy on a global basis, in an effort to forge a stronger commercial and promotional relationship between the company and fans of its world-renowned recording artists.

Pelson will also serve as the chief architect and executor of WMG's strategic consumer initiatives, including market research, development of direct-to-consumer technologies and consumer databases, and expansion of WMG's advertising sales function.

Most recently, Pelson co-founded uPlayMe, Inc., a business that focuses on the intersection of social networking and digital entertainment. uPlayMe is growing rapidly in the music discovery arena. Pelson also founded and was the CEO of Bolt, Inc., recognized as the first social network focused on teens.

Previously, Pelson was Chairman and CEO of Concrete Media, an Internet services business that was responsible for creating many of the largest commerce sites in the world, including BOL.com. In addition, Pelson was a Senior Vice President of New Media at systems integrator, Icon CMT Corp., and a sales and marketing executive at Sun Microsystems, Inc.
