Warner/Chappell Music Announces Worldwide Administration Agreement With Maná

NEW YORK, August 16, 2006-Warner/Chappell Music, the publishing arm of Warner Music Group Corp. (NYSE: WMG), and one of the world's largest music publishers, today announced a worldwide music administration agreement with Fher and Alex González of the Mexican rock band, Maná.

Warner/Chappell, which was previously home to Fher and Alex González, has entered into an agreement to administer new compositions by Maná's award-winning primary writers. Separately, Warner/Chappell today also extended its existing administration arrangement for select songs of the Maná catalog written in prior years.

In making the announcement, Richard Blackstone, Chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell Music, said, "Maná are the undisputed kings of Latino rock. With their huge following in the United States and around the world, and a 20 year legacy of writing hit songs, Warner/Chappell is delighted to renew our relationship with Fher and Alex and is committed to finding exciting opportunities for their first-rate catalog."

Formed in 1986, Maná includes Fher (vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica); Alex González (vocals, drums, electric percussion); Sergio Vallin (electric and acoustic guitars, sitar coral, requinto) and Juan Calleros (bass).

Maná records for Warner Music México and has sold more than 19 million records worldwide and collected five Grammy awards and 13 Billboard Music awards. In its first week of release, their new single, "Labios Compartidos," debuted at No.1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart where it has remained for four consecutive weeks. Maná's forthcoming album, Amar Es Combatir, will be released worldwide on August 22, 2006.
