Gero Caccia Named Chief Operating Officer Warner Music International

Paul-Rene Albertini, Chairman and CEO Warner Music International (WMI), today announced the appointment of Gero Caccia as Chief Operating Officer, WMI, effective immediately.

Caccia, based in London, was instrumental in repositioning the company and successfully completing the new territorial organisation, enabling repertoire crossover between European countries. In this new position, Caccia will not only maintain an organisation with increased flexibility, but also focus on capturing new business opportunities in both existing and emerging markets.

Caccia will have increased worldwide management responsibility on a day-to-day basis, overseeing the company's affiliates across European territories including GSA, Italy, Spain, and Scandinavia, all of which will report directly to him. Additionally, he will be responsible for key functions including Legal and Corporate, HR, Finance and New Businesses.

Paul-Rene Albertini said, "Over the years, Gero's contribution to the progress of this company has been immeasurable. I want to thank him for everything he has done to position us for the future of our business. I am certain that in this new position, presiding with me in the strategic process, Gero will continue to build a strong and efficient company."

Caccia joined Warner Music Italy in 1985 as Financial Director and became Vice President of Operations for Warner Music Italy in 1989. He served as MD of Warner Music Italy and President of Warner Music Southern Europe prior to moving to becoming Executive Vice President, WMI in 2002.
