Asylum Records Signs Exclusive, Multi-Album Agreements With Cam'ron and Diplomat Records

Harlem Hip-Hop Star and Multi-Platinum Artist to Produce and Record for Warner Music Group's Urban 'Incubator' Initiative

NEW YORK, NY, May 26, 2005 -- Asylum Records, Warner Music Group's (NYSE: WMG) new incubator label designed to provide a variety of services to urban and independent music labels and artists, announced today multi-faceted agreements with platinum-selling hip-hop star and entrepreneur Cam'ron and his Diplomat Records.

Under the agreements, effective immediately, Asylum Records will provide marketing, promotion, distribution and sales services for future releases from Cam'ron as well as artists signed to his Diplomat Records label. Currently, artists on the Diplomat roster include 40 Cal and Jha Jha.

"We couldn't be more excited about Cam'ron and Diplomat Records joining Asylum," said Todd Moscowitz, president, Asylum Records. "Cam'ron is a multi-talented artist who has demonstrated his skill not only in music but also in fashion, film, the liquor business with Sizzurp, and marketing, as well. We are excited to start working with him and the entire Diplomat family."

"I'm excited that my hard work is paying off. Asylum has the business mind and infrastructure for me to house my own distribution deal for my own albums as well as my Diplomat artists," said Cam'ron. "I'm looking forward to working with the new artists and I'm focused on making sure everyone we work with gets an album out."

"I'm proud of Cam and the strides he's made as a business man," said Damon Dash, CEO of Damon Dash Music Group and Rocawear. "He worked out a brilliant deal. I will always be there to support anything he does."

Cam'ron's solo artist debut was his 1998 album, "Confessions of Fire," that was certified Gold later that same year. His sophomore release was "Sports, Drugs and Entertainment" and in 2002, Cam'ron released "Come Home With Me," which sold more than one million units and catapulted Cam'ron to celebrity status. The success of "Come Home With Me" yielded the smash single "Oh Boy," which featured protege Juelz Santana. Cam'ron's "Purple Haze" album is still voicing the streets with his recent video "Down And Out/Get 'Em Daddy," which was last week's MTV "Jam of the Week." "Get 'Em Daddy" is his way of speaking his mind about his life.

Cam'ron is scheduled to perform at Summer Jam, which takes place June 5 at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.
